Powered by a pulse jet engine, the unmanned V-1 flying bomb developed by Germany during WWII would reach speeds of 640km/h, fly a certain distance, then crash and explode. This kit reproduces the simple form of this weapon and also includes parts to depict a transport trolley.

Le Fieseler Fi 103R, nom de code « dispositif Reichenberg » (en allemand : « Reichenberg-Gerät »), était une version pilotée de la bombe volante V1, aussi connue sous la désignation plus exacte de Fieseler 103. Produite par les Nazis à la fin de la Seconde Guerre mondiale, elle devait permettre aux Allemands de mener des attaques au cours desquelles le pilote avait de très fortes chances de laisser sa peau (comme c'était d'ailleurs également le cas avec l'avion-suicide japonais Ohka, qui était propulsé par fusée). Dans le meilleur des cas, le pilote aurait eu la « chance » de pouvoir sauter en parachute hors de son avion juste avant d'arriver sur le site de bombardement, auquel cas il aurait très probablement été aspiré par le moteur qui propulsait l'appareil.

The Fieseler Fi 103R, codenamed "Reichenberg device" (German: "Reichenberg-Gerät"), was a piloted version of the V1 flying bomb, also known by its more accurate designation, the Fieseler 103. Produced by the Nazis at the end of World War II, it was intended to allow the Germans to carry out attacks in which the pilot had a very high probability of dying (as was also the case with the Japanese Ohka suicide plane, which was rocket-powered). In the best-case scenario, the pilot would have been "lucky" enough to parachute out of the aircraft just before reaching the bombing site, in which case he would most likely have been sucked into the engine propelling the aircraft.
