The T30 heavy tank (informally designated the Tiger Killer) was an American tank project of World War II developed to counter new German tanks, such as the Tiger I and Tiger II, and tank destroyers, such as the Jagdtiger, or Soviet heavy tanks, such as the IS-2 or IS-3. The T30 was designed concurrently with the T29 heavy tank.
