The Browning 1919 machine gun (in English: "M1919 Browning Machine Gun"), also sometimes simply referred to as the Browning M1919, was the light infantry machine gun of the US Army and a machine gun for USAF aircraft that was used in large numbers from the 1920s to the early 1960s, when, in an effort to standardize on the 7.62 NATO caliber, the new M60 replaced it.
