Micro Set est une solution de fixation de décalcomanies très polyvalente qui améliore l'application des décalcomanies à l'échelle 1/1. Appliquez Micro Set sur la surface de la maquette à l'endroit où vous décollerez la décalcomanie de son support papier. Micro Set prépare la surface grâce à des agents mouillants spéciaux qui dissolvent les huiles de la peinture fraîche et renforcent l'adhésif au dos de la décalcomanie, pour une application plus durable. De plus, Micro Set assouplit légèrement le film de la décalcomanie, la rendant plus flexible et lui permettant d'épouser parfaitement la surface de la maquette. Cette meilleure adhérence empêche la formation de bulles d'air et crée un film support invisible, pour un effet « peint ». Application de Micro Set : Appliquez Micro Set à l'aide d'un pinceau plat et souple, à l'endroit où vous allez poser la décalcomanie. Décollez ensuite la décalcomanie de son support papier à l'aide d'un petit pinceau à poils synthétiques pointus, en la positionnant délicatement. Tamponnez la décalcomanie avec un mouchoir en papier ou un essuie-tout, en prenant soin de ne pas la déplacer. Laissez sécher la décalcomanie toute une nuit. Elle sera alors prête à recevoir une couche protectrice de Micro Coat mat, satiné ou brillant.

Micro Set is a very versatile decal setting solution that does several things to Microscale Decals to improve application. Micro Set should be applied to the surface of the model where you will be sliding the decal off the paper backing. Micro Set prepares the surface with special wetting agents that cut the oils in new paint and converts the adhesive on the back of the decal to a stronger and longer lasting one. In addition, Micro Set slightly softens the decal film to make it more flexible so that it will conform better to the model's surface. Better adhesion of the decal to the model prevents tiny air bubbles from forming and results in an invisible carrier film for the so-called "painted on look." To apply Micro Set: Use a soft flat artist's brush and apply Micro Set where you are going to apply the decal. Then slide the decal off the backing paper using a small pointed tip synthetic bristle brush to carefully position the decal in its proper position. Blot the decal carefully with a tissue or paper toweling, being careful not to disturb its position. Allow the decal to dry overnight. It will then be ready for a protective coat of Micro Coat Flat, Satin or Gloss.
