Le T-100 était un prototype de char lourd soviétique à deux tourelles, conçu entre 1938 et 1939 pour remplacer le T-35. Il fut conçu par l'équipe de N. Barykov (OKMO) à l'usine S.M. Kirov n° 185 de Leningrad. Initialement prévu avec trois tourelles, le T-100 fut finalement construit avec deux. Il était en compétition avec un projet similaire, le SMK, mais aucun des deux ne fut retenu. Une version à une seule tourelle du SMK fut commandée et désignée KV-1. Les trois prototypes furent testés simultanément lors de la bataille de Summa.

Le T-100 possédait deux tourelles disposées l'une devant l'autre, ce qui nécessitait un châssis long. La tourelle avant, armée d'un canon antichar de 45 mm, avait un champ de tir limité par la présence de la seconde tourelle. La seconde tourelle, équipée d'un canon de 76,2 mm, était placée plus haut sur la superstructure que la première et pouvait ainsi pivoter sur 360 degrés.

 The T-100 was a Soviet twin-turreted heavy tank prototype, designed in 1938–39 as a possible replacement for the T-35. The T-100 was designed by N. Barykov's OKMO design team at S.M. Kirov Factory No. 185 in Leningrad. The T-100 was originally conceived with three turrets and was eventually built with two. It was in competition with a similar design - the SMK - but neither were adopted and instead a single turret version on the SMK was ordered as the KV-1. All three prototypes were tested at the same time in the Battle of Summa.

The T-100 tank had two turrets one in front of the other requiring a long chassis. The front turret, mounting a 45 mm anti-tank gun had a limited area of fire due to the second turret behind. The second turret, mounting a 76.2 mm gun, was set taller on top of the superstructure than the first and so able to turn a full 360 degrees.
