Le Jagdpanzer 38(t) Hetzer-Starr est une version améliorée du Hetzer. Les principales différences résidaient dans son canon sans recul Pak 39/1 L/48 doté d'un nouveau système de visée WZF 2/2 et dans son moteur diesel Tatra 928. Quatorze exemplaires furent construits entre septembre 1944 et janvier 1945. Seul le prototype (châssis n° 322370) était équipé du moteur diesel ; les autres Starr étaient dotés de moteurs standard. En 1945, au moins huit Hetzer-Starr participèrent à la répression des émeutes de Prague.

Jagdpanzer 38(t) Hetzer-Starr is the further modification of Hetzer. The main differencies were recoiless gun Pak 39/1 L/48 with new sight WZF 2/2 and diesel engine Tatra 928. From september 1944 till january 1945 14 vehicles were built. Only prototype (chassis ?322370) have got the disel engine, other Starrs were equipped with standard engines. 1945 at least 8 Hetzer-Starr took place in suppressing of the rebellion in Prague.
