Vers la fin de la Seconde Guerre mondiale, l'équipe de conception Ardelt/Krupp a imaginé le « leichter Einheitswaffenträger 10.5cm IFH », un char léger basé sur des composants de châssis déjà utilisés sur les véhicules Hetzer et 38 D, équipé d'un moteur diesel Tatra V12 refroidi par air. L'objectif étant une protection minimale, le poids a été limité à 15 tonnes afin d'optimiser la mobilité. Seuls quelques prototypes ont été construits avant la fin du conflit.

Towards the last months of WWII the Ardelt/Krupp designteam concepted the leichter Einheitswaffentr?ger 10.5cm IFH, which based on chassis components already used in the Hetzer and 38 D vehicle series with the aircooled V 12 Tatra Diesel engine . As only a minimum of protection was intended, the weight could be limited to 15 tons to give a higher mobility. Till end of the war only few prototypes were built.
