Le camion italien 3Ro était un véhicule à moteur diesel 5 cylindres de la gamme Ro (Ro – 2 cylindres et Ro-Ro – 3 cylindres). Des versions civiles et militaires ont été produites entre 1938 et 1947. Il fut le principal camion lourd de l'Armée royale italienne pendant la Seconde Guerre mondiale, servant dans les Balkans, en Afrique du Nord et sur le front de l'Est. Environ 9 500 véhicules militaires ont été produits dans de nombreuses variantes : transport de marchandises, transport de troupes, transport de chars, transport de chevaux, citerne à essence, etc. Certains camions étaient équipés d'obusiers 100/17 de 100 mm ou de canons antiaériens 90/53 de 90 mm et devinrent des plateformes d'artillerie automotrices. Un grand nombre de ces camions furent saisis par la Wehrmacht allemande après l'armistice italien du 8 septembre 1943. Plusieurs véhicules capturés servirent également dans l'armée alliée, au sein de la section lourde des forces LRDG.

3Ro Italian truck was a 5-cylinder diesel engine vehicle from the Ro line of trucks (Ro – 2-cylinder and Ro-Ro – 3-cylinder). Both Civilian and military versions were produced between 1938 and 1947. It was the main heavy truck of Royal Italian Army during the World War II, serving in Balkans, North Africa and Eastern Front. Around 9500 military vehicles were produced in many variants: general service cargo, troop transport, tank transporter, horse transporter, petrol tank, and more. Some of the trucks were fitted with 100mm 100/17 howitzer or 90mm 90/53 anti-aircraft gun and became self propelled artillery platforms. Large number of the trucks were taken by German Wehrmacht after the Italian armistice of September 8, 1943. Several captured vehicles also served in Allied army, in the heavy section of LRDG forces.
